The creation of a new web page with Maranú company (www.maranu.com)
was coordinated by the Management Board, with the collaboration of Belén Sádaba (clinical trials), Elena Ramírez (resident's section), Cándido Hernández (links), Belén Ruiz and Mónica Saldaña (REC directory) and Carlos Rodríguez (newsletters). A grant has been provided to Ana Aldea for the coordination and update of the other web site sections . In the coming months, she will be coordinating the sections as yet under construction and the English edition of the general information page.
The definition and the organisation of the task force has been started by Dolors Capellà and Emilio Sanz , who have edited an initial proposal. The intention is to evaluate the OMC (Organización Médica Colegial) document on ongoing training accreditation, and to establish a discussion forum to share new undergraduate and postgraduate training experiences. The composition of the group is not yet defined and work will be ongoing during the coming months.

Speciality and Professional Occupation task force
This group arose in 2003 from a proposal by Cándido Hernández , aiming at assessing the evolution of professional occupation and the activities performed by Clinical Pharmacology specialists eight years after the assessment made in 1996 by Dr Joaquin Delgadillo . It intends to make use of the assessment to obtain data completing our information on the different professional units currently in operation, and the functions they perform. This information will enrich the data on the web site and also be of professional use. The composition of the group is not yet defined and work will be ongoing during the coming months.

Creation of a network of investigators for the conduct of multicentre clinical trials
Xavier Carné (Hospital Clínic de Barcelona), as part of the ECRIN project (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network), is leading the creation of a network of investigators for conducting multicentre clinical trials in Spain. To start its organisation, a task force has been created to coordinate the establishment of a clinical trial network in Spain which can offer its participation or integration in European projects. This initiative has the support of the SEFC and the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices. The initial task force includes the Clinical Pharmacology Units of the following hospitals:
Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona
Hospital Universitario La Paz
Hospital Universitario Puerta del Hierro
Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid
Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau
Vall d’Hebron Hospitals
An application for European funds has been presented, establishing European task forces in which Spain is in charge of legislative aspects, ethics committees and dispensation. Work will shortly be started on aspects related to procedure homogenisation and standardisation by means of Standard Operating Procedures, and the coordination of the international network with existing national thematic networks.
A specific page is being created on the SEFC website as part of the network's communication project.

Ethics Committees Task Force
It has been suggested that the Task Force related to the Transposition of the European Directive should continue in order to express an opinion on the regulations associated to the relevant royal decree on clinical trials as soon as they become available. In the long term, it has also been suggested that the group's infrastructure should be used, with the collaboration of others, to present the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices with a proposal for the SEFC to help to provide links with clinical pharmacologists on REC, as the initial support for a network of ethics committees.
A directory of clinical pharmacologists on independent ethics committees has been edited at Hospital Puerta del Hierro. It is up-to-date and available on the web site
