Study of NSAIDs and congestive heart failure
Some years ago, the Hospital Clínico San Carlos group, in collaboration with several centres in the Madrid region, conducted a study of cases and controls to assess the risk of heart failure caused by the use of NSAIDs. A more ambitious study is now being planned, including a very large number of patients, proposing the participation of most of the Clinical Pharmacology Units in Spain. The project is to be financed by a research foundation. Prof. Alfonso Moreno will shortly be sending invitations to participate.
